Ingredients

  • 1 piece Boneless, skinless chicken breast
  • 0.5 cup All-purpose flour
  • 0.5 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.25 teaspoon Ground black pepper
  • 0.25 teaspoon Garlic powder
  • 0.25 teaspoon Paprika
  • 1 large Egg
  • 2 tablespoons Milk
  • 0.25 cup Vegetable oil
  • 1 piece Hamburger bun
  • 2 tablespoons Mayonnaise
  • 1 piece Lettuce leaf
  • 1 slice Tomato slice
  • 1 slice Swiss cheese
  • 2 strips Bacon

Directions

Step 1

Preheat a skillet over medium heat and cook the bacon strips until crispy. Remove the bacon and place it on a paper towel-lined plate to drain.

Step 2

Pound the chicken breast to an even thickness using a meat mallet or rolling pin, then set aside.

Step 3

In a shallow dish, combine the flour, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and paprika.

Step 4

In a second shallow dish, beat the egg and milk together.

Step 5

Dredge the chicken breast in the flour mixture, coating evenly. Dip it into the egg mixture, then coat it again in the flour mixture.

Step 6

Heat the vegetable oil in a skillet over medium heat. Once hot, fry the chicken breast for 3-4 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and cooked through. Remove and drain on a paper towel.

Step 7

Toast the hamburger bun lightly in the skillet or toaster if desired.

Step 8

Spread mayonnaise on both halves of the bun.

Step 9

Place the lettuce on the bottom bun, followed by the tomato slice, fried chicken breast, Swiss cheese slice, crispy bacon, and the top bun.

Step 10

Serve immediately and enjoy your homemade Carl's Jr Chicken Club sandwich!
