Ingredients

  • 1 pound Large shrimp (peeled and deveined)
  • 4 tablespoons Unsalted butter
  • 2 tablespoons Olive oil
  • 4 cloves Garlic (minced)
  • 0.5 cup White wine (dry)
  • 2 tablespoons Fresh lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon Lemon zest
  • 0.25 teaspoon Red pepper flakes
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons Fresh parsley (chopped)
  • 8 ounces Pasta (such as linguine or spaghetti)
  • 2 tablespoons Parmesan cheese (optional, for garnish)

Directions

Step 1

Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

Step 2

In a large skillet, heat 2 tablespoons of butter and the olive oil over medium heat until the butter is melted and bubbling.

Step 3

Add the minced garlic to the skillet and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant, being careful not to burn it.

Step 4

Add the shrimp to the skillet, season with salt and black pepper, and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side until pink and opaque. Remove the shrimp from the skillet and set aside.

Step 5

Deglaze the skillet by pouring in the white wine and stirring to scrape up any browned bits. Let the wine simmer for 2 minutes to reduce slightly.

Step 6

Add the lemon juice, lemon zest, and red pepper flakes to the skillet. Stir to combine.

Step 7

Return the shrimp to the skillet, along with the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter. Stir until the butter is melted and the shrimp are coated in the sauce.

Step 8

Toss the cooked pasta into the skillet with the shrimp and sauce, mixing well to ensure the pasta is fully coated.

Step 9

Remove the skillet from heat and sprinkle with chopped parsley. Adjust seasoning with additional salt and pepper, if necessary.

Step 10

Serve immediately, garnished with freshly grated Parmesan cheese if desired.
